Sorry if I haven’t posted anything for the past month (er, months?). Not that it matters to me if anyone bothers to check my tumblelog but still… :P
I’ve been very busy lately with work and as you all know (assuming you read newspapers or check news websites) Metro Manila was devastated by typhoon Ondoy. Nobody expected that Ondoy would bring in lots of rain when he decided to visit the Philippines last September 26. Long power outages and dead phone lines/DSL prevented me from posting plus I was not really in the mood to surf the net when I know that so many people are crammed into evacuation centers with only a few possessions in tow.

-> I made this post last year. It has been sleeping in my Drafts folder, unfinished, along with other pictures from that fateful day.
“Jueteng will end only four and a half billion years from now, when planet Earth is expected to die. Before then, big stars will explode in supernovas, dwarf stars will turn into black holes, gravity will create new stars, planets and galaxies, the planet Earth will commune with alternate universes, and in the Philippines, jueteng will still continue.”—
maybe it’s because i woke up early this morning without the help of an alarm clock, an achievement for someone who has relied on these noisy contraptions since grade school. or maybe because there’s a power outage in our area.. i nearly tripped on some loose wire while going down the stairs.
or maybe it’s because i’m not yet ready to work, let alone live, permanently in another country. i’ve always said that i’m gonna live, work and die in this country, the Isko in me burning with er, nationalism(?) *insert UP NAMING MAHAL here*
